Cooper Tire Europe is supporting a 1,500-kilometre mixed expedition, run in conjunction with Russian publication Off Road Drive.
The manufacturer, famed for its acclaimed off-road tyre offering, is supplying Cooper Discoverer A/T3s which will be fitted to two Wingle 5 pick-up vehicles.
The adventure, named ‘Caucasus 2013,’ began on September 16 and will see crews take in a number of cultural and historical sites as they travel down the southern part of the famous Silk Way, used by Alexander the Great.
The Cooper Discoverer A/T3 is the ideal all-terrain tyre for the course, which will take in an off-road section, showcasing the A/T3’s capabilities in mixed surface conditions.
The journey, which is expected to take around 12 days, will be filmed for the purposes of a short video, to be hosted on YouTube after the event.
Sarah McRoberts, Marketing Communications Manager for Cooper Tire Europe, said, “We’re very pleased to supply our acclaimed A/T3s for this expedition – Russia is a growing market for us and it’s great to have an opportunity like this to really showcase the tyre in varied terrains.
“The film is something of an added bonus for us as it will in turn bring the Cooper brand, and in particular our off-road range, to a wider audience.”
